    The Corpse Flower

This is actually a very rare plant that only flowers once in so many years. They have one in Chicago right now that is getting ready to bloom. It gets its name because of the stench its bloom puts off. I just can't imagine.

i think i have read about it.
don't have a pic but how about a Venus Fly Trap.. this plant actually eats meat. In the wild it eats flies and other insects and if a person has one they can feed it tiny bits of hamburger.
My sixth grade teacher had one in her classroom, until someone fed it too much hamburger and it died.

I've actually owned a couple of those. You  feed them a little bit of hamburger once in a while. A very strange plant in deed.

i know the plant in your picture as Hydrangea and it is  a little like reverse litmus paper.
If  the soil beneath it is acidic it produces pink flowers and if  it is basic it produces blue ones.
my grandfather grew a lot  of them and would put coffee grounds in the soil, or garbage in the soil, and he also managed to grow completely white ones
